Susanne Bier’s In a Better World is a Zentropa Production and a Film i Väst co-production. The film won an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards 2011 and also won a Golden Globe for the Best Foreign Language Film.

Since the middle of the 1990s, Film i Väst has participated in over 300 feature film co-productions, in addition to many TV dramas, shorts and documentaries. Today, we can offer great facilities for productions, with competent film-workers from the area available. The facilities in Trollhättan include production offices, a mix studio, sound studio, foley studio, animation studio, a stage workshop equipped with props and supplies, in addition to make-up, costume and dressing rooms.
Since Film i Väst’s inception, Västra Götaland is now home to many film companies that include VFX, lighting, sound and picture edition, lighting, and equipment rentals helping to establish Västra Götaland as the most prominent film region in Sweden.
