Apflickorna prisad i Tribeca

Apflickorna vann priset för Best Narrative Feature i sektionen World Narrative Competition på Tribeca filmfestival, en av Nordamerikas viktigaste filmfestivaler.
Juryn motiverar priset så här: 
"Haunting, resonant, but never posed. Conventional shots become dangerous. With balanced storytelling that moves between danger and innocence, this film speaks of sex, adolesence, power and ambition. It is original and autentic."

Apflickorna vann tidigare i år även pris för bästa nordiska film, Dragon Award, vid Göteborgs Internationella filmfestival och fick också ett hedersomnämnande under filmfestivalen i Berlin.
